Christmas Boys

Three little boys
Friends the whole year through,
Could only speak of Christmas
And getting toys brand new.
Finally it happened
Christmas morning did arrive.
Little Johnny was upset
He didn't get his slide.
He did receive his bicycle
And remote car coloured blue.
But what happened to his sailboat
Did Santa forget that too?
What about the other toys,
He'd asked for hundreds more?
Santa wasn't good this year,
Christmas was a bore.
Down the street dear Jimmy
Jumped right out of bed,
And rushed beside the Christmas tree
To find his brand new sled.
With tears of joy he kissed his Mom
And gave his Dad a hug.
I feel so very lucky
That Santa Claus did come.
Across the lane lived Billy
He couldn't believe his eyes,
As he reached into his stocking
And found a small surprise.
With words much wiser than his years
He looked towards the sky,
And said "Happy Birthday Jesus"
"My Mom's baking you a pie".
