Old Lady Face
Poems By Lynn Barany

I woke up this morning
With an old lady face.
When I looked in the mirror
It was a total disgrace.

I suppose I'll get used to
This new face of mine.
I'll get re-aquainted
With the new me in time.

I never thought
It would happen to me,
That my face would look old
And my eyes just don't see.

My hearing is good,
My weight is controlled,
I can still do my shopping
And go for a stroll.

I do love my books
And my daily chores,
But my face has changed
It's not me anymore.

So goodbye, good looking
Who had style and grace,
And "hello" dear woman
With the old lady face.
